Christina Aguilera “Change” Single Review

It’s surprising that not many have heard it. I mean, Christina Aguilera is one the most amazing and influenceable vocalist of our generation. How come no one is freaking out? Maybe not everybody’s a fan, but hey, like I said, it’s Christina. We’ve been waiting for her ever since her hit “Your Body” and her collaboration with A Great Big World on “Say Something.” Now, the wait is over. Here she is with a new single, “Change.”

Christina chose the right time to release this song. With everything happening in this world, from terrorist attacks to shootings and racism (to name the least), we need an artist to speak for us. Selena Gomez’s “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” might be an anthem, but it’s only cute, not necessarily deep, which “Change” is. The latter might not have a similar good and dancing beat, but is powerful in its lyrics.

Here are some of the song’s best lyrics:

  1. Who you love or the color of your skin
Or the place that you were born and grew up in
Shouldn’t decide how you will be treated
Cause we’re all the same when everybody’s breathing
  2. Waiting for the day when hate is lost and love is found
  3. Let ’em know who we are and our choices
And one day we won’t have to sing this chorus

We’re all waiting for that change: world peace, happiness and love floating around instead of bullets and harsh insults, and for freedom. Christina genuinely expresses that in her song that I keep repeating over and over again… However, my question is when will WE change? Do you we have to wait for change?

What do you think of the song? Are you excited for the actual music video? Comment below! 🙂
