I don’t really care about Valentine’s Day, but I will use any excuse to talk about music. Some people celebrate Valentine’s Day, others, Galentine’s Day, and the rest, nothing. I thus created a playlist for every kind of Valentine/Non-Valentine out there. Enjoy!

Another year gone! Time flies so fast, it’s quite unfathomable. And every time the end approaches, I usually reflect back on the good times, the bad ones, and what I’ve learned in order to make the next year better.
Here are 22 lessons, or song lyrics, that have rung true in 2022.

It’s Taylor Swift’s birthday today. Needless to say, if I can use any excuse to write about her, I will. Since her recently released album Midnights came out last October, I have been listening to the latter non-stop. I love it so much I decided to write a review, just like I used to do it in the good ol’ days! Overall, I give Midnights 9/10. Scroll down to know why!

Katy Perry is known to be the sugar popstar. She’s a 2010’s sex symbol with a childlike personality and became famous for her witty lyrics and colourful world, which most of her music videos represent. In high school, I was a huge Perry fan. I even attended the California Dreams Tour in Montreal with my best friend. I’ll never forget the moment Katy was singing “Thinking of You”. She was floating over the crowd and I saw her looking over my bff and I. We were both holding our flashy signs and screaming our lungs out. We could tell she noticed us because we were the only crazy loud voices with signs in our section. It was a special 2-min victory for 16 year-old me. Anyway, here are what I believe to be the best music videos by the California Queen.

Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves
It’s that one-of-a-kind album that is just so great to listen to: you never get tired of it. No wonder why Golden Hour won the Album of the Year Grammy Award in 2019. It’s so relatable from the first song to the last one. Musically and lyrically, it’s so simply pure and clever, a beautiful pop and country blend (something Taylor Swift kind of failed to do on Red). Kacey Musgraves nailed the art of writing about the joys of love and life while also being aware of their downs. Favourite songs: “Lonely Weekend”, “Oh, What A World”, “Love Is A Wild Thing”, “Happy & Sad”, “Velvet Elvis”, “Wonder Woman”, “High Horse”, and “Golden Hour”.

I thought of writing my predictions for this year’s Grammy Awards, but the 2021 nominations make it really hard for me to take a guess. I thus decided to simply write about whom I think deserves to win (I won’t go through all the categories, only the most important ones).
