Fall is around the corner and the weather is obviously changing. Sometimes, the days are nice and sunny, but other times, it’s foggy and raining. When it’s raining, we might run out of activities to do, so I thought of sharing my favourite things to do when it’s raining in autumn.

Another year gone! Time flies so fast, it’s quite unfathomable. And every time the end approaches, I usually reflect back on the good times, the bad ones, and what I’ve learned in order to make the next year better.
Here are 22 lessons, or song lyrics, that have rung true in 2022.

Why should you go? It’s a zero-waste outdoors coffee shop in the heart of Griffintown and it looks super cute and the coffee tastes super good. My mom loved her almond-milk cappuccino and when my mom loves something, you know it’s GOOD.
Pourquoi y aller?

I’ve been planning to write so many blog posts since 2019 started, but I haven’t written a single thing! Blame it on the lack or waste of time, blame it on the millions of things I want to do, but can’t seem to (and that, you can blame it on the lack of courage, confidence, or just unexpected events, interrupted plans, etc.), and the list goes on and on… I can’t believe we’re already in May! It’s almost half a year, it’s almost summer, and it’s almost my birthday, and I don’t know how to feel at all. Actually, now that I’m sick, I can’t help but feel a kaleidoscope of emotions I can’t describe, yet one I thing I know is that I am extremely exhausted. My body has been begging me to slow down, but that’s the one thing I hate to do. I basically have to kill my body to rest.

Last weekend, I remember telling my parents I wanted to go apple picking. I don’t know if I truly wanted to go, or if I just wanted to go out to combat boredom and take pictures for the sake of Instagram and edit them on VSCO (yes, I’m addicted to the app) because apple picking looks cool and it’s finally fall. Since I came back from France, I hadn’t spent any quality time with my parents and deep down, I really wanted to do something different and not just on my own. I wanted to get closer to them and do something they love for once.

How does it feel to perform more than one of your poems in front of the Egyptian Consulate? Undeservingly thrilling.
The first time I ever performed a poem in front of people was at the Divan Orange bar, in Montreal, this summer. I’m not used to bars, neither am I used to perform, but I thought I could give it a try because I knew I would regret it if I didn’t. The result was me being so nervous I interrupted myself setting up the microphone properly for a good five minutes. I was then judged by amateurs and was given an average of 6.9/10 for my performance. That stabbed me, right through my heart. However, I left there with a bag of lessons learned. Yes, one night can indeed teach you a hundreds of things, but for the sake of this article, I’ll only list the two most important.
